MATTUPETTY (11km)

Nestled inside the hills of Munnar and very near to the Anamudi peak lies Mattupetty, the hill station at a height of 1,700 m. Here you can enjoy the greenish valleys and feel the fabulous climate around. The main charming of Mattupetty is the dam and the lake. The most attractive part of Mattupetty dam is its still water which emulates the tea garden around.

ERAVIKULAM NATIONAL PARK (15km)

Eravikulam national park is spread over an extensive area of 97 sq km along the crest of Western Ghats in the high ranges of Idukki district. Most of the areas of the national park are consistent hill plateau. In 1975 Eravikulam was declared as a wildlife sanctuary and then in 1978 it was given the status of a National park. The main motive behind this was to protect the rare Nilgiri Tahr and Hemi tragus Hilarious, which are trivial here. But now the park is home to numerous protected species of flora and fauna.

ECHO POINT (15km)

It got this name due to its natural echo fact happening here. It is located on the way to top station from Munnar. It is situated at an altitude of 600 ft. It’s one of the best tourist destination and adventures spot in Idukki district. Echo Point is fully covered with abundant green sceneries which look like a whole place is covered with green blanket. It is a very cool and calm place which gives peacefulness to mind. It is the best tourist destination for all natural lovers.

TOP STATION (32km)

It is the highest point (1700m) in Munnar, on the Munnar-Kodaikkanal road. The place falls on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. Here you can enjoy the panoramic view of Western Ghats and the valley of Theni district of Tamil Nadu. Top Station got its name from the fact that it was the uppermost railway station located in the Kundala Valley. At this highest point, you may feel that the clouds are just a hand touch away from you. The destination is famous for the Neelakurinji flowers (Strobilanthus), which used to bloom once in twelve years. The bloom of these rare flowers will give the destination a different bluish look. The next flowering season of Neelakurinji is on 2018.

DEVIKULAM LAKE (5KM)

According to legend, the goddess Sita Devi of the Ramayana epic bathed in the beautiful Devikulam lake waters surrounded by lush, green hills now named Sita Devi Lake. The lake draws tourists not only because of its sacredness but also for the curative powers of its mineral waters.

CHINNAR WILDLIFE SANCTUARY (18km north to marayoor)

A unique thorny scrub forest with xerophytes species, Chinnar is the habitat for the endangered Giant Grizzled Squirrel of India. Their total number here would be less than 200. Located in the rain shadow area of the Western Ghats, unlike other sanctuaries in Kerala, Chinnar gets only less than two months of rain every year. Rich in wildlife, the blended deciduous forests here are ideal for trekking. An extensive Sandalwood forest nearby is an added attraction at Chinnar.

ANAMUDI (13km)

Anamudi, the 2,695-m high mountain which stands tall in the Eravikulam National Park is the pride of Kerala. It is the highest point in India outside the Himalayan Mountain Ranges. Anamudi, together with the Eravikulam Park, is home to one of the largest surviving populations of Asian elephants, Gaurs and the Nilgiri Tahrs. The mountain, covered with evergreen forests and inhabited by endemic flora and fauna and a vibrant avian life, is a paradise in the wild. The green forest is also the source of some large and scenic rivers in Kerala and the nearby State of Tamil Nadu.

CHEEYAPPARA (35km)

Cheeyappara Waterfalls is considered among the best waterfalls in the State of Kerala .It runs down from a rocky slope in seven steps. The waterfalls gain its beauty during and after monsoon months of June, July and August and it becomes impossible to reach the bottom of the falls. The water of Cheeyappara Waterfalls does not dry up even in summer months. Cheeyappara often becomes base camp for trekkers and for the ones who go on nature walks in to these forests. The rock, which is more than 500 acres, is a favorite spot of mountaineers.

PHOTO POINT(3km)

Photo point is a popular destination situated at about 3km away from the town of Munnar. This picnic spot, located on the way to Mattupetty, is an ideal place for photography. Dense tea plantation, woods like silver oaks, small rivulets and rolling hills make this place ideal for photography.

MARAYOOR (40km)

Marayoor is the only place in Kerala that has natural sandalwood forests. Ancient dolmens and rock paintings in Marayoor date back to the Stone Age. Marayoor claims to be a part of a stone age civilization that is as old as 10,000 B.C.

CSI CHURCH (34km)

The CSI Christ Church is curdled in history and served a significant role during the British Colonial Era. The history of Munnar CSI Christ Church is unique. This splendid church was built of rough hewn granite with un- plastered walls which was constructed by the British in 1910. The stained glasses on the sides of the church depict the saints and Biblical characters.

PALLIVASAL (8km)

This is the venue of the first Hydro electric project in Kerala and a place of immense scenic beauty.

KUNDALA DAM (20km)

Kundala is a picturesque town on the way to Top Stations. The Golf Course which belongs to Tata Tea Ltd. Is located here. The Kundala dam is another attraction .Aruvikkad waterfalls is also near Kundala.

LOCKHART GAP (13KM)

Here you can see this estimable and breathtaking house among the Travel destinations in Kerala. On the way to Madurai, this destination is located in Munnar Madurai National Highway. It is an ideal spot for adventure and trekking. The fresh mountain air, the mist-clad hills and panoramic view make it worthy of a visit.

ATTUKAD WATERFALLS (9km)

A panorama of waterfalls and rolling hills, Attukad, located between munnar and pallivasal ,is a feast for the eyes .The place is so ideal for long trekking.

NYAYAMAKAD (10km)

Located between munnar and Rajamala, Nyayamakad is a land of breathtaking waterfalls. The waters cascade down a hill from a height of about 1600m.The enchanting surroundings makes an excellent picnic spot and trekking spot.

ELEPHANT LAKE (22km)

Elephant Lake or Elephant Arrival Lake or Anayirangal is a place frequented by tourists visiting Munnar. Elephant Lake or Anayirangal is an idyllic picnic location which has a dam and a reservoir .It is a picturesque location surrounded by tea plantations, evergreen forests, rolling grasslands and hillrocks. Tourists interested in photography can capture the panoramic view of the calm waters of the reservoir with the backdrop of dense Tata tea estates and clouds.

LAKKAM WATERFALLS (1km)

It is situated in Lakkam, on the way to Marayoor from Munnar. The adjoining Vagavurai valley adds up the beauty of Lakkam Waterfalls making it a splendid place for photography. Vagavurai valley is so named due to the abundance of ‘Vaga’ trees. When the trees are in full bloom the whole of Vagavurai valley is seen covered in bright red.

ROSE GARDEN (13km)

Rose Garden is one of the chief attractions of Mattuppetty for its beautiful garden where different varieties and colors of roses can be found. Rose Garden, besides being a feast to the eye, also is a place for bird watching and trekking. Different varieties of birds can be spotted here.

THOOVANAM FALLS (42km North)

Thoovanam waterfalls lie within the woods of Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary in Northern Idukki. It is an excellent place to enjoy the beauty of nature. This waterfall originates from the river Pambar and flows through the sanctuary attracting a lot of nature lovers and trekking enthusiasts.
